GIMAT Srl was founded in 1975 by the engineer Giorgio Magri.

For a number of years, the company has been led by their children, Claudio and Marco Magri, who are also engineers, and who avail themselves of a staff of highly specialized personnel, skilled in the technical and productive aspects, as well as management.

The company has specialized since the outset in the production and use of flexible screws, later diversifying and expanding into the production of machinery and installations for the movement of raw material and bulk material handling.

The processes involved include: STORAGE IN SILOS AND BULK BAGS, DOSAGE, MIXING, MOVEMENT AND BAGGING of powders and granules.

GIMAT systems, thanks to improvements made over the years and the positive reactions of the clientele, are widely used in the plastic, chemical, food processing and pharmaceutical industries.

This widespread and continuous success among Italian and foreign companies has been supported by the collaboration of the top Italian manufacturers of machinery and installations, rewarding the significant commitment provided by GIMAT in developing reliable products, engineered to satisfy the needs of every single client.

The technical office has been using CAD 3D workstations since 1990.

Now it is based on a potential of several Workstation with SOLIDWORKS and COSMOS software for the calculation of the finished elements.

The main strong point of the company is the synergism between the technical office and the production department which, on the one hand, enables the company to develop dedicated, efficient solutions and, on the other, to see its ideas quickly become reality, at the same time monitoring the entire production process.

The rapid lead time between design and production is possible thanks to the automation of many internal production process, such as:

  1. The development of 3-dimensional surface geometries generated by the machine code (CAM)
  2. Laser cutting of sheet metal and tubes using the CAM design previously obtained
  3. Press-bending of cut pieces with 6-axis numerical control
  4. Lathing and milling processes with numerical control

We design and build machines and systems to move, dose, mix and store powders, grains, ground materials, and blends, including the relative automation via PLC or PC panel.

With our forty years’ experience, we know how to build turnkey plants which can integrate equipment designed and produced by us with machines built by others.

Third party machinery and accessories are supply, if requested, by mutual agreement with the client, to complete the system if our production range does not include or is supplied in sizes and/or potentials that differ from those required.
