Gimat recently introduced a line of guillotine valves (slide gate valves e knife gate valves.) to include in its installations or sell separately, in accordance with ATEX directive 2014/34/UE and MOCA 1935/2004.
GIMAT’s through-blade guillotine valves are created to intercept products in the form of powders or granules. They are placed at the bottom of storage containers or powder mixers. With an additional kit to act on the degree of blade opening, they can also serve as coarse dosing organs for vertically falling product.
The guillotine valve in question has the following features to be considered when defining the design:
Operating pressure: Ambient pressure +/- 0.3 bar – Not certified according to ped directive 2014/68/ue
Temperature of use: -5°
MODEL | (1) ENCUMBRANCE | (2) BALANCE | (3) EASY CLEANING | (4) SURFACE FINISH |
---|---|---|---|---|
GIMAT GUILLOTINE VALVE | REDUCED SIZE IN HEIGHT AND LENGTH. GREATER ENCUMBRANCE IN WIDTH. MORE COMPACT AND LIGHTER FOR EASIER INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS | WELL BALANCED | AS THE BLADE IS ALWAYS INSIDE THE GUIDE, THERE ARE NO ZONES OF ACCUMULATION OF MATERIAL | PARTS IN CONTACT WITH THE PRODUCT ARE MADE OF AISI 304/316 STAINLESS STEEL WITH SATIN FINISH. PARTS IN FOOD GRADE PLASTIC ARE MACHINED ON CNC EQUIPMENT (Computer Numerical Control) |
CLASSICAL GUILLOTINE VALVE | CONSIDERABLE DIMENSION IN LENGTH. MORE COMPACT IN WIDTH | IT IS OFTEN NECESSARY TO SUPPORT THE PISTON WITH A SUPPORT NOT SUPPLIED BY THE VALVE MANUFACTURER | DURING THE OPENING PHASE THE MATERIAL TENDS TO ACCUMULATE IN THE GROOVE INSIDE THE CASTING BODY OF THE VALVE | PARTIALLY MACHINED PARTS (CNC - Computer Numerical Control), PART IN RAW CAST STEEL |
