bin activator

The bin activator is a system for extracting bulk materials; built of carbon steel or stainless steel AISI 304 – 316, they are used under hoppers, silos and tanks, for the metered discharge of food and chemical powders, plastic ground flakes and mixtures.

The application of these flat bottom bin dischargers becomes necessary and advantageous, especially when:

  • The stored product tends to pack and has poor fluency.
  • It is necessary to install tanks in spaces with reduced height without affecting safe emptying of the contents. Completely cylindrical storage solutions are built in those cases, maximizing the volume available with respect to traditional cylindrical-conical tanks with descent angles at 45°- 60°.
  • It is necessary to empty the tank with controlled dosage acting on motor speed.

The bin activator-discharger unloads laterally and rapidly by means of a special tapered rotor with a section having even resistance and special paddles with an anti-wear regulator.

This special shape of the rotor blade enables complete emptying of tank contents, leaving minimum residue and making this system quite popular in the food industry and all other applications in which cleanliness is paramount.

The diameters built are based on nominal diameters Φ 400-600-800-1000-1200-1400-1600 mm with approximate rated power from 0.37 kW to 9.2 kW and variable rotation speeds. On request we can produce different diameters.

The agitator paddle is moved by a right angle helical bevel gear motor for maximum efficiency/output and quiet transmission.

Special care and attention have been given to the dust seals of the bearing, contained in the pulling assembly, made with puddening or special lip seals designed by GIMAT, that can be greased from the outside.

Upon request, our bin activators s can be designed and built in conformity to ATEX 2014/34/EU Directive Zone 2 – 22 / Zone 1 – 21
