The Bulk Bag containing the raw materials arrives from the support structure by means of a forklift and is ready to be easily hung.

The telescopic design of the Bulk Bag Unloaders makes it possible to adjust the height and rapidly adapt to the dimensions of the bulk bag with the assistance of a forklift or pneumatic pistons (optional).

Pneumatic lifting is optimal when the type of bulk bags to be hung changes frequently and/or the nature of the raw materials contained inside requires a few “height adjustments” to avoid the lateral swelling of the low part of the bulk bag. The latter function can be made automatic.

Support structures for bulk bags unloading

The hopper of the Bulk Bag Dischargers are equipped up with electromechanical vibrator helping the Bulk Bag unloading together to an upper rubber seal for dust proofing close to the bottom of the Bulk Bag.
The hopper underneath of the Bulk Bag Emptying Station, which pours the product, is fitted for coupling with the flexible spiral conveyors, screw conveyorsor pneumatic conveyors.

If it is large enough, it can also be used as a temporary reserve to allow replacement of the empty bulk bag with a full one without interrupting the feeding flow from below.

In the cases of noxious products or fine powders, the gasket mounted above the hopper seals the lower part of the Bulk Bag making the unloading process airtight.

Moreover, upon request, rubber gloves can be equipped to the hopper hatch so the bulk bag hatch can be opened without touching its content.

A slight vacuum is created inside the hopper to intake the more volatile particles by using the appropriate manifold to connect to the customer’s air suction system.

Bulk Bag Options:

  • Vibrator for hopper fitted on rubber springs;
  • Pneumatic pistons with direct action to the bulk bag to facilitate the unloading process;
  • Pneumatic pistons to adjust Bulk Bag height;
  • Flat bottom extractor with screw extractor or spiral extractor in cases of materials having poor fluency;
  • Bridge Breaker and/or Lump Breaker
  • Diaphragm valve to adjust outgoing flow of material or partial unloading and re-closing of the bulk bag;
  • Loss-in-weight system on load cells for precise and reliable dosing
  • Made of stainless steel AISI 304 or 316.

Upon request the Bulk bag unloaders can be designed and built in conformity to ATEX Directive 94/9/CE for Zone 2-22 / Zone 1-21
