HOPPERS

The fixed or wheeled containment hoppers in the standard GIMAT versions (G1-G2-G3-G4) are built of EPOX painted carbon steel and, upon request, of stainless steel AISI 304 or 316 with suitable surface finish treatments.

The hoppers can be supplied with cups fitted for connection to the Customer’s powder suction system.

Upon request the cups are supplied complete with a powder filtering system with centrifuge fans for uptaking the powders and cleaning the filtering sleeves in a countercurrent with compressed air.

These are the hopper versions:
TPA (asymmetric pyramid trunk) for inclined pick-up.
TPS (symmetric pyramid trunk) for horizontal pick-up.
TCC (cylindrical-conical hopper) for inclined pick-up.

We have models fitted with suitable attachments for introducing the pneumatic conveyor dip tubes.

This system is designed to be able to introduce accessories for easing the fluency of the materials contained inside and control their level automatically.

Among the former we find:

  • Mechanical bridge breakers in various configurations;

  • Electric vibrators having adjustable eccentric masses;

  • Vibrators or jack hammers;

  • Porous fluidizing baffles.

The automatic level controls we have are:

  • Level indicators having a rotary blade;

  • Capacitive sensors;

  • Diaphragm level indicators and other more specific types.

In addition to the numerous standard models, several special versions are being studied by GIMAT and built occasionally to meet customer specifications.
